Ideas where to install a Solar System

ISolar-Asia and its strategic partners is a leading organisation for Photovoltaic Systems. We offer training, coaching, design, engineering, supply, installation and customer support for Solar Systems.

A Solar System can be installed on residential roof-tops, green fields, discontinued army fields, city halls, railway station buildings, other public buildings, community buildings etc….the possibilities are unlimited.

Already 40m square can be good enough for a family of four and supply the electricity needs, depending on their lifestyle. Every square meter of PV Installation is a contribution for a greener earth.

When are you doing your contribution?

Grid Connected PV System

Grid connection of your PV System means that you connect either one or three phase to the public power grid through an inverter. To do that, your inverter must be certified for the country you want to install and commission the inverter and the grid supplier must give you the permission to do so. Please check the local law and regulation.

For Malaysia, TNB has agreed to permit connection of PV installations under the MBIPV project to its low voltage (LV) distribution network with the proviso that the PV capacity installed (kWp) does not exceed the consumer’s maximum demand in kW.

As well for the design of a grid connected PV System, the PV Service Provider must be approved in order to get the permission to connect the PV System to the grid!

ARCHIDEX 09 – Feedback from our exhibition 2-4 July 09

We had a great time at the exhibition. Many interested people came to us to get more information about PV-Systems, especially the grid-connected systems.

solar_systemThey liked the fact that we know how to design the Photovoltaic System, install it and do the commissioning, complete from one hand with Swiss Quality.

An important factor was the professional workmanship of the module installation by which we ensure a watertight roof, because we are as well a qualified roofing company.

Based on the experience from the exhibition we will add a FAQ to this website and many more posts with information about solar systems. Quite a number of visitors at our booth studied the option to install a solar system on their roof, but they could not find qualified information what is possible and available.

The main discussion during the four days was about the grid connected photovoltaic systems. People do not know that this is possible and allowed – if the design is done by an approved PV-System Provider (APVSP). Yes, it is possible and it is a good solution for homes or factories to have PV-System installed without a battery backup!

For others, it was a big surprise that it is possible to produce electricity with sunshine! It is quite common to heat water with the sun collectors and the water-tank on the roof, but they have seen the first time a Photovoltaic Module which is producing electricity!

Our Plan:

We want to provide highly qualified information about solar in general and what is possible and available in Asia or India. With our strategic partners, you will receive complete service from Energy Consulting until the final Installation and Commissioning of your Solar System.

Where do you find Complete Solar Solutions?

We are at the Archidex 09 Exhibition, Hall 2, Booth 2241! Come and visit us in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 2nd to 5th of July. Look for SWISSPROF Sdn Bhd.

Important Topics if you install a PV System

ISolar-Asia will provide you more options if you consider installing a PV System. A new PV System is quite expensive, even though the prices of the PV Modules fell in 2009 tremendously. Therefore you still need to consider the following items in order to be on the safe side:

  • Make sure you have a certified PV-Service Provider for the Design, Installation and Commissioning of your Solar Power System.
  • Common problems like leaking, bad workmanship, wrong materials to install the PV-Modules have to be addressed. A trained and experienced Contractor is of paramount importance!
  • Before you install a PV-System, get a consultation on all your energy consumption and as well the building/house efficiency factors. The size of the PV System is getting smaller and with it as well the price!
  • Be clear about the advantages and disadvantages of PV-Systems and about the reasons you want to invest in such a system.
  • Clarify the benefits you may receive from the government on tax, feed in tariff etc.

The first post: PV Systems in Asia

This is the first blog of ISOLAR-ASIA and more will come. We focus on Solar Power and how we can contribute for a “green tomorrow”.

We are taking the responsibility for our future seriously. A green environment is important for our next generations!

Therefore we all have to work together and get rid of the polluting exhaustible resources like oil, gas or coal power generators and build as many as possible solar arrays on existing or new roofs, on factories or deserts, where the sun never stops shining.

A group of professional engineers, project managers and roofing professionals are working together to reduce the emission of CO2 with designs and installation of high quality PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) Systems for your powerhouse in Asia.

You are most welcome to give your feedbacks and comments in order to grow together for a green future!
