What are enhanced feed-in tariffs?

Feed-in tariffs mean enhanced or preferential rates for electricity from PV Systems above market rates. It is usually a guaranteed price for a specific time period.

 

What is a direct capital grant?

Cash rebate on the PV system costs.

 

What is Net Metering?

It is the allowance to deduct PV kWh from the electricity bill and store PV electricity in the grid.

The benefit of net metering is its simplicity as it basically allows the PV-owners meter to run both ways or have two meters and only the net-consumption is billed. However, net metering is heavily dependent on the electricity prices in the country. Net metering alone cannot fully cover the cost of a PV system, but together with other incentives such as investment rebates or enhanced feed in tariffs it can be an attractive incentive.

 

What is Green Pricing?

Voluntary schemes where electricity consumers pays a premium for PV power.

 

What are zero-energy houses/offices?

Such houses/offices combine PV installation, energy efficiency and efficient water supply, and an airtight housing structure that maintains a constant temperature inside the home.

Anywhere where is direct sunshine without shading or for the main sun period from morning to late afternoon.
